@jedijester That reminds me of 1992-93 approx, visiting the MS World Chat room. You could make your own avi using a png file and could animate it. Very basic but it worked. You could move avi through rooms and interact (sort of) with others. Everyone had cute avis of kittens or panda bears or angels. I made a one eyed triangle in heels that alternated smoking a cigar, holding a rose in it's razor teeth, and cycling through several colors then went invisible. Named her Blinkie.
