Personal:

I have a close friend, an old stubborn vet. He is 82, and his wife is 80. His wife lost most of her eyesight to macular disintegration, and now is suffering from mild dementia. My friend also has some severe health issues. I found him a great home care aid, who comes 3 days a week. Recently he fell, again, busted him up pretty bad.

We need to get his wife into a permeant care facility. But he is not having it. It is not about money. It's about pride, and loss.

This be Hard.

@corlin Dealing with very similar situation involving close family at the moment. One day they're open to the change and then the next engaging in magical thinking that they can just stay the way they are. Painful and heartbreaking since I have to be the bad guy who pushes them. Definitely not easy
