We are being lulled into a liminal state of resignation and false hope based on knowing what an incompetent, egomaniacal piece of shit Trump is…

I can feel myself doing it too, thinking “He’s 78, he just wanted to win and he’ll spend the rest of his days golfing.” or “Surely he’ll want his legacy to be remembered well and have SOME real, good governance to show”

O'Donnell seems to be talking himself into thinking Trump is going to just give all his responsibilities to others and play golf.

But the interregnum, is the nicest he'll ever be, like in 2016, because he's got it in the bag and like the scorpion he's got to make it seem like he's not the nightmare that he's always been and will always be..
