@IanWolfe @Virusb23 I bet that if you asked all of those cheerleaders what they think of the Iraq invasion now, 33% of them will start talking about the weather, 33% of them will say they don't remember any such conversation, and 33% of them will claim they never supported the invasion.
Until people are willing to be personally accountable for their thoughts and actions, they're certainly not in a strong position to demand it from others, or from elected representatives.

@ibid @IanWolfe @Virusb23 Maybe...my experience is that the people who double down in private are too embarrassed to try that in public especially with strangers, so they suffer from amnesia.
But yes, you're probably right that some of the true cult followers will attempt some cockamamie public rationalization.
So maybe my 33/33/33 is 30/30/30/10.
