: I'll take "Things I Didn't Expect To Learn Ever" for $1,000, please, Alex.
I just heard that a friend of mine from 1st to 4th grade died of cancer at the end of February after a two-year slog with it. That's not the news. The news is that the morning before she slipped into unresponsiveness before expiring the next day she confessed to murdering three people, one in 1986 and the other two in 1999.
The '86 one was ruled a suicide. She revealed she pushed the girl off of the bridge. She...

...said she did it on impulse while they were out walking and was shocked when everyone believed her story that the girl'd jumped over a breakup. (The girl she killed was indeed troubled.)
She said she only killed one of the '99 ones on purpose, for killing her dog. The other drove up to the guy's house and saw her, and she killed him because witnesses. She stole their wallets and the guy's jewelry. It was ruled a robbery homicide by persons unknown.
Holy shit.

@thedisasterautist Back in the early 2000s, I was a manager for a 7-Eleven. My assistant mgr was a nice girl, a little younger than me, in a reasonably stable relationship. I was recently married. The day she quit, she confessed that she was leaving because she was in love with me. That was the last I heard from or about her until she wound up in the news because she and her boyfriend (different guy) had happened upon a Murder-suicide and robbed the bodies to support their meth habits.
