Also...WHY IS PROFESSIONAL CORNHOLE A THING THAT WARRANTS PRIME TIME COVERAGE ON ESPN(2)???
@ianthealy Might as well ask "why is professional [sport/game] a thing?"
@ianthealy No idea. It's a big deal here. All summer, outside restaurants, etc.
@SECRET_ASIAN_MAN True that. A guy who looks like me has no business being SPONSORED by national brands while he chucks beanbags at a board while ESPN(2) announcers discuss his technique and use fancy graphics to analyze his throws.
@ianthealy: Because it has sponsors.
@thedisasterautist Yer goddamn right it does! BUSH'S BAKED BEANS!
@ianthealy: The local area Cornhole League (or whatever it's called) has Busch Beer, Lowe's, and State Farm Insurance for sponsors.
I remember ESPN shows comptetive darts, bowling, curling --- Yes, CURLING! -- blackjack. poker, all the silly minicar races, and such. Why not cornhole? I remember for years and years ESPN covered World Champion Dominos. (Srsly. Dominos.)
@thedisasterautist Friday Night Cornhole coverage is where bad announcers get sent. The good ones are covering the Stanley Cup or NBA Championship playoffs, I guess.
"JUUUuuuuust a bit outside..."
@ianthealy @thedisasterautist βRoll that beautiful cornhole footage!β
@ianthealy ... it begs the question: did they do it for The Great Cornholio? Or is The Great Cornholio behind this? π€ π€£π€£π€£
@Jax_Wild_4_Life I hear he needs TP for his bunghole.
@ianthealy I've also heard that said once or twice ...
Apparently, it's more popular than Dodgeball, @ianthealy π
