Finishing the main draft of a book project is always a mixed bag of feels. It's great to have it done, but I always feel empty afterward. That's probably why people say I'm a prolific writer; I don't like to sit around waiting for the next project.
I'm already plotting the next project, by the way. #cosowriters #WritingCommunity
@DanIsWriting I, uh, I do that too.
@ianthealy I dont think I could do that. I would obsessively read and rewrite my book forever and never finish it.
I'm not sure which one of us has the mental illness. 🤣
@ianthealy I get that. People say I’m ‘prolific’, but it’s only because if I didn’t write, I’d waste away my free time playing games or zoning out in front of the tv.
While I’m writing one, I’m always running through future stories in my head, filling out characters. Once I’m done with one story, I need to crack on with the next. It’s a compulsion. 😅
@ianthealy I think it was Stephen King talking about a more prolific writer than him, I forget who.
He said something like, "If he starts his day and all thats left to write is 'The End', he opens a new file and starts the next book."
