The ongoing debate with myself is whether it will benefit me more to just publish this standalone book or to go through the rigmarole of agents and traditional publishers. On the one hand, I've been self publishing for twelve years and I am very good at it. On the other hand, this book is not part of my series, so it's unencumbered by continuity. #WritingCommunity #cosowriters
@danialexis Thank you! I have been known to nail things on the first try once in awhile.
@ianthealy Unfortunately, by self-pubbing, you've got a sales record, and agents/acquiring editors will consider that along with your manuscript's commercial viability. (Note that I don't say quality.)
@WestofMars Eh, they'd probably want me to use a pseudonym, which I won't do. I can be happy with what sales I do get through my own moving and shaking.
@ianthealy If they'd even consider you! I think self-pubbing is a better, safer space, so long as we work to keep it so for each other.
@ianthealy not an answer: "Unencumbered by continuity" is such a delightful phrase.
