@process@Zailrand I remember when I was very little. My dad had an air pistol and used to go out getting rabbits for our dinner. Needless to say, we were poorer than dirt poor!
I had various gamekeeper friends growing up... Often used to wake up to a brace of pheasants hung on the door... As a very broke student I lived just south of Dundee in a big pheasant shoot area. Extremely dim birds so lots of roadkill
@homebird@process not keen on wild rabbit, prob due to there being so much myxy in the rabbit population. Farmed rabbit better but still not that keen.
@Zailrand@process I mean, I was too young to know about such things. My father told me he knew how to tell if a rabbit had myxy; I trusted him. As for the taste, all I remember is we were hungry and glad of a hot meal!
