I think I'll make Irish stew today, only with rutabagas instead of potatoes. I like the flavor of rutabagas better, and they've got fewer carbs.

@BlueMan2 I'm not sure I've ever tasted rutabagas. Can you describe the flavor compared to say russetts or other potato species?

@hallmarc They have a slightly sweet taste. Both taste and texture are more like a carrot than a potato.
