@Lindy Thank you! This was taken near Wonder Lake. Near the end of the road in the park.

Thank you! The name was changed during the Obama Administration. For 40 years Alaska had been requesting the name changed from McKinley to Denali. The republican politicians from Ohio always blocked it. McKinley was from Ohio and though he never visited the mountain it was named after him in 1896 just prior to his presidential race.

At 20310' it is the highest peak in North America.

Mt Denali on a cloudy day.

From a few years ago.

@Lindy It was about 30* so not real cold, but I usually dress differently when hiking. I saw a light snow falling and rushed out without my usual gear.

@Lindy Rain is always a soothing sound. Both current and past. I've always been drawn to quiet streams with small rapids. I could sit by them for hours.

@Lindy Good morning! I like the cool mornings to walk. Fewer people and incredible quiet. Just the sounds of nature.

With the winds picking up today and rain moving in I decided not to carry my DSLR on today's hike, but I did take a GoPro and an Insta360. These are a couple of screenshots of me from the Insta360. It's a fun camera to play with!

@TheAardvark LOL That would work well! I also have a flexible arm that attaches to my tripod with a small rubber holder for the Lensball on it that I use. Plus, almost anything along the trail will work including rocks and branches. Amazon sells a wide variety of stands too. My fear is dropping it in a stream while taking pictures.

@researchbuzz Thank you! I am honored my photography is enjoyed! There are some incredible photographers here.
