#20Artists20days Any reason, no reason. Day 6 Yayoi Kusama
I discovered 8 her years ago, and she is a favorite.
Kusama has Schizophrenic tendencies, hallucinations and etc. She moved into a mental institution in 1977 & still lives there, her studio across the road.
She is known for infinity rooms/nets, polka dots and installation art. Go to an exhibit if you can!
My take is that she sees the universe at the cellular & atomic level, enough to make anyone "crazy"

Day 2: Joan Eardley (1921-1963), British, Scottish artist. Exquisite lines, deliciously moody but colourful palettes. Her pastels of Scottish tenement children are particularly moving.

Common Grackles, along with many other bird species ranging from the Chimney Swift to Northern Bobwhite, have a magnetic mineral called magnetite in their heads, beaks, and necks. This mineral allows birds to use the earth's geomagnetic fields to navigate.
