My handicapped neighbor lives on the internet shopping. You can barely walk into her apartment for stuff she bought & all the associated packaging.
I want to help by taking boxes to recycling room. But she will just fill up with more.
Best to keep my own apt uncluttered than involve myself in her issues. She does not need my judgment—implied or real.
When my mom died, she left a large home filled with expensive and luxurious things
That we donated almost in its entirety
Since then I have developed a true unease with stuff—no matter how fancy it might be—it just becomes a burden
So I keep trying. 💜
