@gemswinc This is nothing like Nixon. Nixon still believed in American democracy and in protecting us from our enemies. Trump is taking orders from our enemies and has no interest in being anything less than a king. Trump makes Nixon’s corruption seem quaint

Those of us longer lived libs are used to disappointment yet somehow we muster the will to fight again. Yes, this time seems different. I do see hints that many are gearing up for midterms and while midterm gains may help, we face a long uncertain battle.

For me the path forward is uncertain because we lost, and gave up, so much.

@ellesu Very uncertain, and frightening, America will destroy itself before it gives up racism & misogyny. So will the rest of the world it seems. Let us rise above the chaos, take joy in our own lives, as best we can, look at the stars, marvel at the insignificance of it all, but not give up the fight.
