@gemswinc oh yeah, even roos can fight to the death. was thinking about having my own quail but I was surprised to learn just how they can be so especially vicious to each other

@gemswinc roos are super warriors, they are prepared to defend their flock to the end, even against the biggest predators. i still pour one out for one heroic roo that took on a bobcat to save his hens. which he did.
oh my! now i'm crying for the ROOSTERS who are so BRAVE!
hens too. they are so brave.
there's one story about a hen out there i will post when i find it again. it moved me deeply, the bravery.
btw, some roos grow up to be super aggressive, no matter how much love you give them as they grow up. but there's a good reason for that warrior instinct. i have a collection of scars from those. 😂 less heroic, more like obnoxious.
