Now two neighbors employ terrorists, better known as men in masks with gas-powered blowers. The din! What arrogance to think this much noise and pollution are acceptable.
@gemswinc I swear that a significant portion of the human population has some instinctual behavior that tells them everything is terrible unless there's as much noise as possible.
Did our ancestors evolve to drive off smilodons with diesel engines and leaf-blowers and pop music or something?

@AskTheDevil You could be on to something, noise in the wilderness, to keep us safe. Meanwhile, I long for quiet and the sounds of nature, barring roars or snarls from nearby predators. Where did I put my airhorn? 😉
