I'll never forget the time my uncle Johnny had just finished pool maintenance at my grandparents' house in Satellite Beach. Lightning struck the deck where he'd stood barely 10 seconds before. The bolt smashed the concrete something fierce. Thank goodness in wasn't Johnny! 😧

Americans with wealth and power don't generally care about the middle and lower classes. Even worse, they are doing real damage to the people they don't care about.
But why? Either these well-positioned people are 100 percent out of touch with the realities of middle-class life in our country, or they're contemptuous of those they consider inferior, or they believe so strongly in individual 'freedom' that even the word 'social' is repugnant to them.
Happy Wednesday, friends. I'm waiting outside the Federal Building in Salem, Arkansas, while my son gets his newly purchased replacement vehicle registered. Since this is the 1st time I've ever seen a flag disposal receptacle, I have to ask, are these common?

The Twin Lakes area was very fortunate yet again. At this rate it's like waiting for the proverbial shoe to drop. Less worried about it now than this time last year, when the kids and I were still living in that ancient, derelict deathtrap of a mobile home. So much safer now.😀
