This is my fourth attempt to get into the old 90's Babylon 5 series. I was a #StarTrek kid growing up so of course I watched DS9 instead.
I've always heard about how it ripped off Babylon 5 so I'm naturally curious, plus I've enjoyed J. Michael Straczynski's stuff in the past.
But.. this is rough. The quality doesn't seem as good, or maybe I'm biased. None of these characters are gripping me as interesting. What am I missing that people loved so much? #SciFi #Babylon5
Part of it was a lack of shows… at the time there was very little science fiction. Today, there is too much to choose from.
Not to knock B5. It was a good show although it lasted a wee bit longer than it should have—after year three, it felt…well, judge for yourself.
Or not. TBH no one is forcing you to watch it. You don’t have to like it. It’s fine to like something or not like it.
No judgment.
