It’s like buying an apartment. You own it and yet someone else can tell you what to do with it.
But to many Americans this is their idea of freedom.
We always thought that was just nuts. Of course we live in the country where during deer season it sounds like a civil war.

@feloneouscat Colorado there is the ability to remove parts of a house sale contract and send it back to the seller for approval. One thing you can, and should, excise is the HOA terms. Because most HOAs are run by people who should not have any power.
