I know I’m in the minority, not seeing what a majority of US voters see, but my take is:

1) mass deportation will seriously decrease America’s GDP and raise prices, for example on agricultural products (inflation)

2) placing 60% tariffs on goods imported from China will raise the cost of these goods to Americans, some up to 60% (inflation)

3) placing 60% tariffs on goods from China will trigger retaliatory economic sanctions that will raise costs to Americans (inflation)

But that’s just me 🤷‍♂️

It’s economics.

It’s what the press didn't put in their headlines. They could have, but they didn’t. Because they wanted to normalize Trump.

Again.

BTW, much of today’s business uses Chinese goods to make products. That will also raise the price of American goods (inflation). An increase of those goods will result in people not buying them which will result in people not having jobs.

Other companies will follow suit (seriously, I was told by a CEO… 1/2

@GrazingintheGrass

… that they look and “see IBM doing it, then they must know something we don’t so we cut employees. It only makes sense.”

The thing about CEOs is they love to talk and they will tell you some really weird shit if you listen.

Rarely is it inspiring.

And frequently it’s scary as fuck.
