Jon Stewart gets it wrong—surprise me 😑

Several things here:
1) Dissing supporters is a bad thing
2) A 30 year old reference makes you sound like Dennis Miller who is conservative and also out of touch

Stewart is also lying about Reagan: he wasn’t a man who was voted in because he was a criminal, a rapist, a sexist and stole sensitive government records. In fact, as bad as he was, he wasn’t even close to being as bad as Trump. No candidate has been as bad as Trump.
This idea this is normal is one based on delusion or unfounded optimism. It sure as fuck not based on history.
Stewart is gaslighting.
Reagan cut taxes for the rich and middle class. True. He also made the US a debtor nation.
He wasn’t a 34 time convicted felon.
He didn’t attempt to overthrow our government.
I’ve completely disagreed with many republicans in office.
Never did I consider they were traitors intent on destroying the Constitution.
What he didn’t do is act like a Russian asset. He didn’t steal government documents. He didn’t hawk food at the Resolute desk. He didn’t spend his time watching TV and bitching writing about how he had it worse than anyone especially Lincoln. He wasn’t impeached twice or call for the deportation of anyone with a brown skin.
There is much to loathe about Reagan, but to argue he was similar either shows INCREDIBLE naïveté or just plain ignorance of history.
