This is a lie.
In fact, a suit was filed and it went to the Texas Supreme Court for clarification. Rather than clarify they muddied it further.
TODAY if you have an abortion the doctor must wait until you are at the point of death. If you are not (but still need an abortion) you have violated the law.

Let me clarify: if you need an abortion, you cannot get one when it is safest for you. That option is illegal.
The only option is when it IS NOT safest. When you are on the brink of death. For ANYONE to predict that is absurd. That is why the law is written that way. To make it nigh impossible to perform an abortion.
So if you are healthy but the fetus has died, you are not allowed an abortion. Ted Cruz knows that.
