“The latest offer would raise the base hourly rate for ILA port workers to $63 from $39 over six years, the people familiar with the matter said. One of the people said the offer is being made on the condition that dockworkers go back to work and agree to efficiency gains.”

Don’t get mad they are being paid so much, get mad you are being paid so little.

This is the intent of the corporate class — for us to wage war against each other.

@feloneouscat YES! You hit the nail on the head there!

The way people get envious and bitter whenever workers at *any other site/company* get better compensation or working conditions, especially when it's a result of collective labour action, is totally irrational and serves only to benefit those who underpay/exploit workers (or seek to) in the pursuit of twisted "profits over people" ideals.

Drives me absolutely up the wall. It's so dumb.

@IrelandTorin

Actually, I didn’t invent this quote (no doubt some labor Union did and I remembered it).

I remember working for a company and being told, “If you hear anyone trying to organize, be sure to tell me!”

Like fuck I would.
