Republicans love to weaponize government to get what they want: “Missouri Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft decertified a ballot item Monday that would reverse the state’s ban on abortion.”

He doesn’t want people to vote for abortion. You know, he wants to decide for them. Like a dictator.

Rachel Sweet (pro abortion amendment) said in a statement that the case “is before the Missouri Supreme Court, and they have jurisdiction, not Jay Ashcroft.”

If Ashcroft sounds familiar it’s because he is the son of former U.S. Attorney General John Ashcroft, under President George Bush. Ashcroft was a big proponent of torture to the point he said waterboarding is not torture.

Because everyone enjoys the feeling of drowning. 🙄
