@feloneouscat " The law also prohibits genital surgeries, though genital surgeries are not performed on minors in Alabama." this is not true. when an infant is born with ambiguous genitalia in the US, there is surgery to assign that child a gender. in some hospitals the parents are asked to choose the gender & in others, the doctors decide. once the gender is chosen, the child is raised with those social pressures.
