One of my monitors decided to fall while I was rearranging computer caught it with my head. All the images after would spin like old TV's w/ Horizontal hold issues. I replaced it with an upgrade and was gonna take it to be recycled. decided first to open if ( because I have to see in everything) removed and re-seated all the connectors inside and its FIXED. Instead of recycle-I can donate it to a local Free comp cafe for peeps that don't have computers/net at home - REUSE beats Recycle!
We take it to Goodwill. If it can’t be reused it is recycled.
@feloneouscat Without the repair they would have just recycled - its a nice 27" flat screen so Im sure it will get put to good use at the community center computer cafe.
I think Goodwill attempt to repair (at least in Austin).
