What people are missing is that when it comes to being President, the LAST thing you want is someone making spur of the moment, off the cuff decisions. That is the sign of a bad leader (no, no it really is).
Let’s concentrate on what Trump said:
• Black jobs
• Immigrants ruin everything
• Immigrants are voting
• Immigrants are taking SS/Medicare
• Taking credit for Biden’s policy on insulin
• That jobs are bounce back (they aren’t)

• That Trump had more people working… but if that were true, how could there be “bounce back”?
• That inflation was lower… yeah, FEWER PEOE WERE WORKING (see correlation between inflation and unemployment).
None of what Trump said made any sense. In fact, when asked specific questions he would lean back on immigrants being “bad for this country” — news flash, EVERY COUNTRY uses immigrant labor. The French wine? Immigrant labor (I’ve seen them and they are not French).

Trump totally DOES NOT understand economics, our government or how the basics of taxation work. Someone says something and he nods his head. He misunderstood and called videos of Biden “clean fakes”, during the debate he repeated an assertion from 2020 that Biden called Blacks “super predators”, not realizing that was HILLARY CLINTON.
Trump wants to use tariffs instead of income tax not understanding that it would make inflation WORSE, not better. Tariffs are paid by AMERICANS.

Trump wandered all over the place. True, he did it forcefully, but lying forcefully doesn’t make it true.
That is what we saw tonight: a stupid convicted rapist try to give a book report on a book he never read.
Women’s bodies ARE NOT the owned by the states. Yet Trump is under this mistaken belief (or lie) that everyone agrees that is the right thing to do. He even said the Framers agreed!
This constant spew of non-truths (“all the military love me and hate Biden”) was unchallenged.

Democracy dies when journalists are silent.
It was very quiet at CNN.
No Democrat could have “won” this “debate” — Trump only had to not die. That’s how low the bar was for him.
Fortunately, debates are rarely watched. This is a good thing. We don’t WANT quick thinking in the Oval Office, we want well reasoned thinking.
Trump did the quick thing with Seal Team Six in his first week as President. The target got away. But a serviceman and ten civilians died.
