White House spokesperson Andrew Bates: “House Republicans’ anti-border security record is defined by attempting to cut Customs and Border Protection personnel, opposing President Biden’s record-breaking border security funding, and refusing to take up the President’s supplemental funding request.”
Republicans created the problem they say the White House won’t solve.
The problem is the White House can’t allocate monies: only Congress can do that. Republicans refuse to do it.
You want to point fingers at who is the cause of the “border crisis?”
It’s House Republicans.
Only CONGRESS can set a budget for the border. Republicans in Congress refuse to do so. So they can’t point their fingers at Biden who CANNOT SET A BUDGET. He can SUGGEST a budget, but only Congress can allocate funds.
This has always been true. Republicans want to confuse Americans.
