“US toy giant Hasbro has brought back the iconic Furby robotic creature, which was hugely popular when it was launched a quarter of a century ago.”
Then someone hooks it up to ChatGPT’s API and we have the robot apocalypse. Not. Even a very cute robot apocalypse because the US doesn’t do cute very well.
@feloneouscat Giant nope. We bought our kid one in NYC. It would come on at night at not turn off. It was still going in the garage trash can.
That’s kinda creepy!
@feloneouscat creepier? The batteries were out.
Ahhh!!! Get out!!!
@feloneouscat My kid is 32. She’s still scared of them. We never could figure out why it came on randomly always seeming at night and without its batteries. It wouldn’t go long but any noise was unacceptable at that point.
Also, don’t feed after midnight.
