From WaPo: “In a major allowance to the hard-right Republicans, McCarthy offered to lower from five to one the number of members required to sponsor a resolution to force a vote on ousting the speaker — a change that the California Republican had previously said he would not accept.” This means anyone can wreak havoc at every turn and sponsor a resolution to try to get rid of Kev. How disruptive that would be. All Kev seems to want is to be named Speaker - if only for a day.

@vivelafranz If he becomes Speaker it will only be for a day.

This was the dumbest change McCarthy accepted. Five? Yeah, possible.

One? Guaranteed.
