Plausible scenario:
1) Trump announces he's running;
2) DeSantis wins the primaries;
3) Trump runs as an independent;
4) The GOP splinters off 30% of its vote to Trump's "new" party;
5) Dems sweep 2024
6) We get to have nice things again.

@Committovote I have pondered this scenario as well. Even a modest 15% of the vote would allow for Dem to sweep.
