If thereโs ever a time for this song, itโs now:
Carl Orff - O Fortuna from Carmina Buruna
I did not know that! O Fortuna has this wonderful feeling of the epic upon us. It just captures my day-before-the-election mood.
Itโs a great piece of music.
Carmina Burana is a fantastic piece to experience performed live.
I volunteered as an usher when my college symphony performed it, and got to watch it three times.
They had the full symphony, a full choir, a small children's choir, a quartet of tenors, and the soloists.
While O Fortuna is the strongest standalone piece, there are several other fun moments like the drinking song, and Dulcissime, where the soprano's high note is basically an orgasm.

I like it too
We'll just ignore that it's also Sean Hannity's theme song

@evamarie did you know that Carmina Burunaโs O Fortuna is one of the most requested pieces in public radio classical?
The other is Cannon Pachelbel
