Iโve heard great things about Colombia ๐จ๐ด The cities at high altitude like Medellin or Cali have beautiful weather and scenery. I would love to visit.

@evamarie that's why i did it. can't live there on SS. pension got pretty well wiped out in the big bust. besides, much more peaceful here, never gets cold, and hundreds of good beaches

I thought very seriously about this. Just before I retired the first time. But then I would miss the forest so much. I am truly very lucky that I can retire here where I am.
Yes there are many things I miss about a laid-back urban life style.
But all in all, I am happy.
Thereโs so much to be said for finding that place which calls to your soul. I had a cabin in the mountains for years and still miss the forest.
