Shooting from the hip cuz I only read the NYT/WaPo updates but was struck by the sophist questions from the MAGA justices...combined with the patina of "traditional concepts of presidential candidate quality vis a vis ethics, norms, values, morals, intelligence level, etc." In other words...Trump needs/needed no security clearance. The paradigm is shattered but pretense is necessary.

This is the thing. We know the #GQP wants ultimate control and those pesky elections keep getting in the way. They needed a willing dope to be a part of the ruse. He was the right candidate. But they never envision the dope sniffing that power for himself. They thought he would do what he was told and not make the authoritarianism obvious. The dope ran amok.
