Anyone have some good tips or tricks to book cheap plane tix to Europe this Summer?
(Specifically for Italy. )

Just go anywhere in EU on the cheapest, enjoy a random city for 1 day/night then get a 2nd flight to Italy by Ryanair, Wizzair etc budget carriers . Take only your backpack.

Agreed. Book at least 60 days in advance and find the cheapest European city to fly into, and it’s often Frankfurt.
Also, when in Italy, it’s cheaper to spend a few days off the beaten path, like the hill top town of Orvieto near Rome. Small towns in Italy are often filled with incredible churches containing renaissance masterpieces.
