Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring back on display after being attacked by climate activists.
I’m as concerned about climate change as Al Gore, but attacking great works of art just makes me hate climate activists.

That makes twisted sense. So these kids are pawns?
@LAHolloway
So you're saying this is all a false flag op?
@voltronic @evamarie It sure seems that way.
@evamarie
I am disgusted by people "raise awareness" by attacking works of art or otherwise destroying things which have nothing to do with the thing they are protesting.
thought they attacked it cuz it's an oil painting...or did I read too much into that?
@opie @voltronic @evamarie that's what I gathered but like, I don't think oil based paints are made with fossil fuels.
These people just look stupid as hell.
Stupid kids thinking they’re enlightened.
@voltronic @evamarie This. Don’t understand how they think this helps their cause.
@evamarie
Same. Activism that’s more about getting press than the actual message is just bad activism.
@evamarie Attacking rich people stuff is a good way of getting attention. See the Suffragettes and Venus http://albertis-window.com/2013/06/the-slashing-of-velasquezs-the-rokeby-venus/
Completely agree.
@evamarie I believe the group behind these "protests" is founded by an oil heiress, which explains why they seem designed to make people resentful towards the cause.
