Please, someone explain to me why this product exists. https://amzn.to/3uInt1a
@estherschindler To make fruit salad perfectionists happy? 😉
Why is the banana pink?
@estherschindler Wonder why it has no reviews. 😄
@piquant00 @estherschindler For people with disabilities.
@Notokay @estherschindler That makes a little more sense.
@Notokay That makes sense, thanks.
@piquant00 It's brand new. (I get offered free stuff in exchange for an honest review. This was among my options.)
@estherschindler @piquant00 The number of disabled people is too few to market assistive devices like this just for them, so the companies try to market more broadly. But the fact remains that they are assistive devices designed for people with disabilities.
@estherschindler @Notokay @piquant00
A lot of odd kitchen tools were invented for people with disabilities and/or grip strength issues--but need to be marketed more broadly to make $.
The entire OXO line, with their
chunky, rubberized handles, is basically that.
@tyghebright @estherschindler @Notokay @piquant00
Actually, many top chefs have used OXO line for years. I’ve been buying their kitchen utensils for 15+ years. Top quality.
@LnzyHou @tyghebright @estherschindler @piquant00 Yes, but the designer behind the OXO line was an engineer whose wife had severe arthritis.
@Notokay @tyghebright @estherschindler @piquant00
I know. My point is the line is excellent & purchased by millions who are not handicapped.
@tyghebright @estherschindler @Notokay @piquant00
Since I have rheumatoid arthritis and have problems using my hand, I rely a lot on OXO brand kitchen tools. I have a whole collection of various jar opening tools.
@estherschindler I would say it is for children or other people who don't have access to a knife, for whatever reason.
@estherschindler you have 30 bananas to do for your catering company.
