@estherschindler So could be corporate espionage accessing networks and design info , could be getting in to set up for a ransomware attack, could be claiming the job and illegally subcontracting work out to 3rd party? Anything else I'm missing?

Somehow I'd have to get over the HUH?! before I could get down to the question of investigating.
