"Parler has found itself in the right place and the right time, as many right-wingers are joining the site after defecting—or occasionally being ejected—from Twitter. " https://www.fastcompany.com/90522049/i-joined-parler-the-right-wing-echo-chambers-new-favorite-alt-twitter
Thanks for this.
Main takeaway:
"And that’s okay. Just don’t tell me Parler is helping the political discourse that Facebook and Twitter have already damaged so badly. It simply provides a place where the right can say what it wants without having its facts challenged."
Trump hasn't "parleyed" (posted) on Parler yet and I wonder if he may be at a crossroads.
Wouldn't commenting on Parler instantly devalue his tweets and his massive and powerful account on Twitter?
This is the extreme Right going back under its rock and out of the public sphere as a viable ideology perhaps??
defecting from... on... into...
@erose Note that it's the article title. I DID NOT GO THERE.
I spent a little time on voat, a few years ago, and that was enough.
@estherschindler I am not sure the Balkanization of the right into an enclave is a good idea. Parler seems designed specifically for the right.
