Could micro-credentials compete with traditional degrees? https://www.bbc.com/worklife/article/20200212-could-micro-credentials-compete-with-traditional-degrees
I do not have a traditional degree 😱
Yes I'm a 57 caucasian non degree democrat who hates to be considered a trump demographic.
I left college after 1 year because I wasn't doing enough fast enough (bored..yes significant adhd)
So I joined navy, learned some tech
Got out in 86 right when PC's were becoming business machines and latched on to "networking" as a promising technology and learned/grew with technology
I am also the only income for my family of 4 plus mom, cat, dog etc.
So. I do pretty well for no degree
Experience matters

This is not the job-hunting experience most people seem to be encountering, particularly at that age.

"Compete" in what sense? That you can do just as poorly trying to get your resume past robots with "micro-credentials" as you can with a "traditional degree"?
