@mcfate - Even if there was a creamy caramel filling? 🤔

@AlbertCashiersCousin - "Irresponsible" is a great euphemism for what they've done. Facebook and Twitter directly participated in the monetization of the destruction of the United States IYAM.

Seems like even the big brains at Reddit's techie groups don't really have a great handle on what BlueSky is really about. Like it's just a glorified ActivityPub/Mastodon but "blah blah blockchain." I don't get it at all rn, like, I just see it as Usenet but with graphics in these early, relatively uninformed (for me) stages. But yes, I signed up for the beta. You know, because.

Boy, at this rate, Facebook and Twitter are both going to go bankrupt. Sure would stink if that happened, huh?

@DaleNewton - Trying to straighten out either one would be like trying to teach a honey badger how to do the Macarena.

Corporate Social Media is a barter system. They get your info, you get ads and a crummy algorithm.
I'll take questions.

Gen Z gets most of their news from alternative, non-MSM-propagandist sources. Figures like Greta Thunberg and David Hogg are painfully aware of what needs to be done; their biggest obstacle is that the middle class is so propagandized by the mainstream media that commonsensical ideas seem like windmill chasing. They think all this constant abuse and neglect of working people is normal.

@Smersh - Waitwhat?!
*confirms*
Figures I'd miss that! Only one I ever even saw I was at Fenway, Clay Buccholz no-hit the Orioles. It was absolute pandemonium, everyone laughing and yelling and saying to each other "Did you see that?" "Yes! F--k you!" "F--k *you* lol!"
Don Larsen pitched the only other one in 1956. I remember reading some book that detailed that game when I was a kid. Holy crow. Man, that is true magic.

@CathSterner - Mheh. well, when ya have a secret budget and all that.
Looks like you're taking to this place and vice versa. Hope it's fun for ya!
Trying to get more people over here. I'll entice em with action fotos of Leader Shleepy.

@CathSterner - I'd be interested to know what the experts' consensus is on how big the CIA budget actually is. It's all secret.

@CathSterner - It's like Jurassic Park, they're removing the DNA sequence that might someday compel them to transfer videos of US Navy Seals training Israeli soldiers how to conduct cost-effective massacres of Palestinian civilians.

That reminds me, did I show you my new kitten? My 4-year-old niece wants to call him Best Leader Joe. Lol, isn't that a gasser?

@th3j35t3r -
Pretty sure I found a level 2 bug on this app. I tried to post something last night (and today) where there were at least 4 or 5 sets of short phrases enclosed in double-quotes. I hit "Post" and it didn't do anything, just shifted the frame up or down a little, no errorhandling or anything. I mistook it for server overload. I replaced the double quotes with single quotes and it posted normally.

@CathSterner - I think the dude is trying to get attention. I wouldn't be surprised if Jack and Musk did some sort of app together; after all Jack does still have that stake in it. I just don't get the point of letting the 4channers turn it into a smoking crater without having some sort of AI blocking all the racist stuff, nor the point of a "social media protocol." Prolly be something like when 4G was actually just glorified 3G but got all kinds of press. We're in an era of max bs.

@CathSterner - [my God this app was barely working last nite]
The more I look, the more I think that the writer had a few huffs off a can of Strip-EZ when he was a kid. He's made a couple of predictions for which I'm too lazy to google right now, but I wouldn't be a bit surprised if he fell into one of George Carlin's '3 Possible Explanations':

A) He knows some big words, so he's not stupid, which leaves either:

B) He's fulla shit);

or (more likely),

C) He's f--kin crazy.
