Have you seriously considered leaving the U.S. over the last few years? If so, where would you go?
@MidnightRider - That's funny, I just mentioned Costa Rica. I loved it there. Last I checked it costs like $400 a year to live there.
@esaeger Their healthcare is rated higher than ours, not a surprise. I’m not sure about all day electricity. The cost of said utility or other logistics. I would like to visit there someday though just to see it.
@esaeger @MidnightRider That's where I'd go if I had the means.
@esaeger No, because I can't afford it.
@BillieBun - Idk, maybe you could just show up on a Costa Rican beach and say you'd be willing to work washing towels at a yoga retreat. There's gotta be a way.
@esaeger Well, i sure wouldn't mind leaving....
If I thought I could learn the language, and I were single with no family ties, I'd have moved to Iceland a long time ago.
@Tarnagh - Kool!
@esaeger If they'd let me in and I could take the right people with me: New Zealand.
@esaeger we live in Spain right now and we might stay if things get much shittier past June...
@esaeger I have wanted to for years. The logistics, exit taxes and aging in a country I know nothing about or have friends within slowed my roll. Costa Rica seems like a legit maybe.
