How do I Direct message another account follower that is not a Pro user? Am I able to do so if they are not Pro? Are Direct Messages completely Private? Can't find any info on my questions here. HELP!

pro users can initiate DMs to non pro users, and once initiated, non pro can respond, and ya can have a back n forth conversation
to initiate a DM:
change the privacy status from public 🌎 to DM ✉️ (tip: always do this *first* lest you forget) and at-mention the user (or users) you wish to DM
all users mentioned can see the DM, but other than that, they are completely private
