Truly, this man has no imagination.
Also, his LLM is called "grok"? Heinlein is probably spinning in his grave...
LOLOLOL!
I've had a tab open for an item for about a month now that I just haven't gotten around to ordering.
A month ago, it was "regular price $169.99, sale price $119.99"
The week of Thanksgiving, it was "pre-Black Friday sale! $119.99"
On Black Friday "Black Friday sale! $119.99."
Monday it was "Cyber Monday sale! $119.99"
Today? "regular price $169.99, sale price $119.99."
FFS...
@opie But first you'll need to find your Illudium Q-36 Space Modulator.
@AskNick I've never heard of anyone (seriously) "shaming" about bubble color; but there are complaints about cross-platform. "Why does this video look like crap?" - "Because Jim in the group chat has an Android."

Dammit, Iβve been a bad CoSoer. Sorry, most of my former BirdSite connections have moved to Mastodon, so Iβve been far more active there.

But for serious, sending good vibes, hoping your work isnβt getting significantly more difficult because of this.

@KodoAndSangha Why did you only watch half the movie?
Yeah, sorry, former coworker. I'm looking for jobs too, I'm not going to send any leads your way.
You wore a MAGA hat to a company event. In a famously-liberal city, with company founders who promoted very-liberal things.
(Former cow-orker was a sales engineer for the federal space. For some reason, he didn't stick around very long after Jan 20, 2021.)
@evistre Later my best friend and I getting a "Unix shell access dial-up account with internet access" at a small local company, and convincing the owner/operator to install a SLIP daemon so we could try out "dial up internet". (Trumpet Winsock for me, native Linux 0.9 TCP/IP for my friend.)
I'm pretty sure we were the first people in Portland to get a "home internet connection" that wasn't provided by an employer.
@evistre Usenet on my high school's "mini-supercomputer" that had been donated by the manufacturer. First internet experience was posting on comp.unix.<something> asking for help with some technical issue or another.
