Sooo... *is* really going to shut down in Brazil? I understand a court has ruled that it must, but... what levers do they actually have to enforce that?

Wasn't a big part of the dispute s/t like "hey, you need to have a presence in Brazil, with employees we can arrest, and you don't have that"?

Well, what I can tell you is that Brazil successfully blocked Telegram for 2 days in March 2022 until Telecom complied. I don't know how, but they did.

And set fines if they don't as well as doing same with app stores who'll have to remove any app, like X, or face fines - daily fines as well
