And no doubt FBI will also realise their own along all with other countries from EU that were involved to get some credit and help with funding for a new tax year 😆

update: arrests made

Thankfully I don't need to type all this out 😆

V-K-Underground has it covered

Meanwhile

there is a Lockbit impersonator on Telegram scamming people out of $150

We don't work for gangs lol while being a ransomware gang

😂😂😂😂

Good to know

Gotta love people who live by a code

😆

@ecksmc Doubling down is not a good look. The biblical expression would be 'hardening their hearts' along with the expectation that they will be brought to justice or destroyed. Doubling down doesn't have that latter association but it should because they will.

Hamas is the same in Gaza.

MAGA is the same in America.

To hell with all of them.

@ecksmc

This is actually somewhat insane to me. I remember getting a sample from a friend, poking around at it in VMs, uploading it to VT... and being kinda dumb because wannacry was still on my mind at the time. I shoulda known better about the usage of the ETERNAL* exploits but meh, I've gotten a lot better about making assumptions.

I know it was first observed in Sept 2019, but I don't recall anyone really talking about it until about mid 2020 when the group started *really* making moves.

@ecksmc My theme on discord isn't helping my case much, because we for some reason decided to make the special intel channel role pure black, but seeing LockBit evolve from a small group to an absolute RaaS behemoth has been insane in a terrifying sorta way.

@ecksmc

Enter my dumbass with 4+ years of hindsight:
heh gee I wonder if it used uPnP at some point!

@ecksmc

Indeed!

Apologies for kinda just braindumping on this but it's got a bit of a personal touch for me. I imagine they'll regroup eventually, but I'm looking forward to seeing them fizzle someday.

@KAutumnrain no worries 😉

regroup is on the horizon that's for sure
