On the morning of February 14, northern Israel was subjected to a barrage of indiscriminate rocket fire from Lebanon.

In response to this attack, the Israeli air force undertook a “widespread” bombing campaign against Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon,

Media Ignore Anti-Israel Rocket Attack, Focus on Israel’s Military Response

This rocket barrage was the latest escalation in Hezbollah’s campaign against Israel, which it undertook in the wake of Hamas’ October 7 massacre in southern Israel Due to the threat posed by the Iran-backed terror group, tens of thousands of Israeli civilians from the north have evacuated to other parts of the country

Despite this latest violence stemming from the rocket barrage directed at Israel several news outlets chose to frame the story in such a way as to portray Israel as the aggressor

By leaving out vital information and context from their headlines and reports, these news outlets are not only failing to inform their respective audiences properly, but they are also helping to contribute to a false narrative that leaves Hezbollah’s belligerency out of the picture and portrays Israel as the primary aggressor along its northern border.

Don't believe the hype - media bias is a thing

and yes if you have read articles about gaza from the same outlets named in that article, read it see what outlets were named, then maybe you're being fed something that isn't factual

@AkomoCombine @ecksmc 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

@AkomoCombine @ecksmc yes they are and I don't understand what's their purpose or what they hope to accomplish by doing that.
💔

@Dbot @AkomoCombine @ecksmc: They sympathize with Hamas, Hezbollah, and the rest.

They've been this way since at least the 1970s when the Leftist Boomers began entering the newsroom workforces en masse, and it's gotten more prevalent. It wasn't just Boomers, though. The late Helen Thomas wasn't alone.

@thedisasterautist @AkomoCombine @ecksmc there is that but this time has been significant different. The verbiage used and how they have been manipulating the information.
And this goes for all big MSM. As if they all agreed on one view. A misguided one

@Dbot @AkomoCombine @ecksmc: To my eyes and ears, it's essentially the same, as a matter of coldly logical progression. I've seen previous Israeli retaliations for terror attacks over the decades, and this one follows the same pattern to a tee. The fundamental different is the technology used to communicate it. i.e., social media *is* the media, drives the rest of the media, and the MSM are always several steps behind (more than they used to be) and do not fact-check because they do not feel...

@Dbot @AkomoCombine @ecksmc: ...they "have the time" (because they want the scoop) to fact-check, but what they do not do is retract and correct, not that that was ever a big thing. Also, it's a generational problem.

@Dbot Their purpose is to confuse, enrage, weaken whatever your poison.

Anything to distract thinking people from actually solving problems

Once problems are solved and there is a solution ,their use becomes more and more irrelevant.

Their job is to report the news. They can have seperate shows to express their opinion but reporting only half a story is bullshit.

@AkomoCombine for sure that. I mean who must be payout for it. To spread the hate against Jewish people and Israel? Why is so important for this actor to weaken the State of Israel?
Also this will endanger the western countries in long term when terrorism cells increase their operations in their own soil.
cui bono?

@Dbot @AkomoCombine: They don't care because they aren't thinking. They're *feeling*. Between Marxism and its various spin-offs and "Liberation Theology" over the past one hundred or so years, perceived underdogs are uncritically supported. That's not even going into the planetarily centuries-long hatred or at least bias against Jews.

Many in the press and around the world, especially in the West, hate the West for "ruining the world".

@thedisasterautist @AkomoCombine
I don't think they ( media) have any beliefs.
Is money. If you pay them enough they will say pretty much anything you ask for.
If I pay them to hate air, if I payed enough they would cancel air and oxygen

@Dbot @AkomoCombine: No, they have beliefs. It's what shapes their journalism, informs and instructs their narratives. The press are just human people types, no different from anyone else but for that they are read/watched/heeded by billions of people globally. They have a perceived social authority, a weird credibility, an enormous responsibility which is often suborned to their emotions.

@thedisasterautist @AkomoCombine
Is a business.
They just care for money the MSM in America in special.

@Dbot @AkomoCombine: The owners and stockholders care about the money, and they also steer the narratives. The journalists are usually, near invariably reporting through the lenses of their beliefs. They become active in the affairs they report on rather than reporting objectively. That is what humans tend to do. Emotions and identity are weird but strong.

@thedisasterautist @AkomoCombine
Money is the human fuel.
Also their huge egos.
The honest good ones are a minority and they don't get too far on the business

@Dbot Tell me about it- i know this already- part of the machine here. i keep a low profile

@thedisasterautist

@AkomoCombine @Dbot on cable in particular the blurring of news and opinion has been a mainstay for over 30 years. Opionion/punditry is cheap, requires little to no research support and fills time to sell commercials let alone forward agendas. In part my screen name, as used on Twitter, is kinda’ mocking the concept of pundit. It’s so easy a dog can express an opinion.

@Dbot @AkomoCombine @ecksmc: Increase readership and viewership, and to pressure the US any everyone else to force Israel give up more and more, and then when/if the Muslims win and drive Israel into the sea, many journos will claim they're shocked and appalled, while the 10s or 100s of millions they've conditioned to be anti-Jewish will dance in the streets that "another oppressor has been vanquished".
