my recommended wikiwand settings

also be--------aware < for some

WikiWand is an Israeli application

freeappsforme.com/wikiwand-app

BUT since my VPN is now owned by an Israeli company i'm "balls deep" 🤣

id really get why some, not saying some here, are against using Israeli software

as long as it's NOT government run < no issue and never have had one < but that's just me

@ecksmc 🤔 it's Wikipedia but they get your information? It says user experience with no explanation of how it improves anything.

@Klaatu_Veratta_Nectarine go to the chrome extension URL and see what else it does to improve the interface 😉

@Klaatu_Veratta_Nectarine no advertising though

if you use Ublock origin and/or NoScript 😉

not seen one advert so far

@Klaatu_Veratta_Nectarine also worth noting the ads aren't targeted like other targeted ads are < they are, you could say, still targeted i a way

most targeted ads are based on your browsing activity and habbits

with wikiwand ads they are based on the actual article, subject, you are reading at the time which is totally different that following you around the web to then target you with ads

@ecksmc It's ok, we won't bust you for your browsing habits.

...I've said too much...

@Render 🤣

it's as if other countries don't do the exact same

someone, somewhere, somehow is always watching
