So my daughter looks out her window earlier today and sees a palm tree down the block completely engulfed in flames. She grabs her dog and cat and leaves the area. When she returned, fire and emergency vehicles had the area blocked off. Scary stuff in midtown Sacramento.

July’s Meteor Shower List

- Alpha Capricornids (7/3-8/15) produce only a few slow, bright, long trailed yellow meteors. They peak on July 31.

- Capricornids (7/10-8/15) peaks 7/26, facing south, at about 1:45am EDT. Only a few bright Capricornids will appear per hour.

- Delta Aquarids (7/12-8/23) peaks 7/28, expect 2-3 dozen meteors/hr @ its peak when facing south.

- Iota Aquarids’ (7/15-8/25) peak activity is August 6th with 6 meteors/hr facing south.
