Yep. We went from CA to MD and the gas dropped $2 per gallon.

Also, in Madrid and groceries cost 1/5 of what we pay in CA.

Tomorrow would be mom's birthday so I took it off (as usual) but not sure what I want to do in her honor... it's supposed to be rainy out so most likely I'll just chill out & relax with some of her favorite music and drink a Pepsi (her favorite soda but I'm a Coca Cola dude)...and light a few candles - it just feels different this year and I don't know why...

@duglop I can confirm it's at least $7 at one station in Menlo Park. It's bound to be the highest in CA because we have the highest taxes as well as a more costly "summer blend". It's $5+ at my local Costco.

@duglop It's in Menlo Park, and they've done this before in previous years. It gets them lots of free publicity and the right wingers get to scream about the out of control prices under Newsom and Biden. Most of the gas in the area is under $5.50.

So. Thunder was pretty unhappy during the car ride.

He finally settled down during the last 2 hours and fell asleep in my lap.
